The executor of the Sixth Olefin Project
National Petrochemical Company In order to accelerate the activities of the petrochemical development projects and the use of domestic and foreign investment, established the Amir Kabir Petrochemical Company (Public Joint Stock Company) as the executor of the ongoing projects.
In this regard, in May 1998, Amir Kabir Petrochemical Company was selected as the executor of the 6th Olefin Project. The sixth olefin project was the project approved by the second five-year plan of the National Petrochemical Company.
Amir Kabir Petrochemical Company produces the most diverse polymeric products including High-Density polyethylene, Low-Density polyethylene and Linear Low-Density polyethylene at the national level which has a major position in the Iranian Petrochemical industry by supplying its products in domestic & foreign markets.

Executive Achievements of the Plan:
· Manufacturing more than 95% of fixed devices in Iran while saving about $ 70 million and employment of about 8 million person-hour indirectly and 22 million person-hour directly.
· Saving investment compared to global investment about 20 to 30 percent.
· More than 163 Kilometers of pile driving have been performed in the site.
· For the first time, furnaces of olefin Plant have been constructed in Iran.
· The first reactor for the conversion of acetylene of olefin Plant is manufactured in Iran.
· The first heavy polyethylene Plant reactors are manufactured in Iran.
· Utilization of public resources for rail investment with the supply of shares through underwriting contract.
· 100% cooperation of private sector in polypropylene unit.
· Performing detailed engineering of all Plants by Iranian consultants.
· Installation and construction of all Plants by Iranian contractors.
· Engineering and implementation management by domestic forces.
· Production and installation of two-walled reservoir of ethylene by Iranian contractors

Main applications of the products: High-density polyethylene is used in a variety of grades: pipe making, cable, various plastic bags and barrels for transporting chemicals and food; linear low-density polyethylene in a variety of grades: in the manufacture of packaging bags, film, coatings of water and sewage pots, containers of oil, milk, and juice, barrels for chemicals; low-density polyethylene chemicals in various grades: in making cable coatings, all kinds of small packaging, producing hard films, general use in producing different butadiene films: use in the manufacture of synthetic rubber and other resistant polymers.
